MacWorld 2009

MacWorld Expo look like a rather chaotic show for an international, leading event where major and minor companies who do business under apple’s umbrella gather in San Francisco, and it still attracts Mac fans.
This year it has been reported to be no great news, and yes, there was only new 17-inch notebook displayed among other line-up elements. I listened to the iPhoto 09 presentation that seemed appealing the enhancement in involving consumers more in organizing their digital photos easily, powerfully and with fun. The new feature was called “faces and places” using face-recognition technology and location data in some digital pictures to sort out all pictures by individuals or by destinations.
Surrounding the huge Apple space was Microsoft explaining their new Office 2008 functionality and FileMaker, but Adobe was not participating. My biggest question was why Acula brought a formula car in their booth lounge.
