La Bella Simonetta - ボッティチェリを観る

最近、大学時代の仲間との飲み会で、亡くなった藤原伊織の他にも何人か物書きがいるので、作品の善し悪しという話題になった時、年月のふるいにかかって最後に残るのは文章力だとの意見が多かった。話は飛ぶが損保ジャパンビルの丸紅コレンクション展でいろんな画家の作品を一気に見て回ると、筆が立つかどうかが絵筆の世界でもストレートに作品の質を決めてしまうという感を強くした。この美術展の白眉はボッティチェリの『シモネッタ』だと思う。どこまでも繊細な筆致と未だにくすみのない凛とした色彩に立ちすくむ。


There are a few other writers than the late Iori Fujiwara in my university classmates, and in the recent reunion, our conversation hit the subject at one point how we determine a book good or bad. Marubeni Collection Exhibition displayed numbers of painters’ art, and overlooking them at once, I strongly felt that the quality of work was proportionate to the hand itself to manipulate paintbrushes. The most distinguished example in this exhibition was probably Botticelli’s “la bella Simonetta”.
