花小町 - Flowery Light

僕は装飾的なインテリアはあまり好まないのだが、このシーリングライトはなぜか惹かれるところがあった。花のたたずまいの可憐さとでも言うのか、装飾性も控え目だ。これは花小町というカフェの照明。鎌倉駅前のメインストリートをひとつ奥に入った住宅街にあって、その洋館の一階部分をカフェにしている。鎌倉にはこの手の店が多い。


I don’t generally favor decorative interiors, but this ceiling light looked attractive, perhaps because of the modest loveliness of flowers. I saw this in Hanakomachi, a café in a street behind the main avenue in front of Kamakura station. They serve in the first floor of a residence, which seems typical in Kamakura for small restaurants and cafés.
