Private Audio Room - 男の隠れ家造り

自宅リスニングルームの改修がほぼ完了した。入手した時のままでは定在波がひどくて使うには厳しい環境だったが、天井と壁の吸音を徹底して、かなりレスポンスの良い部屋に仕上がったと思う。工事には約2ヶ月費やした。暗騒音レベルを測定してみるとNC25となかなか静かな環境だ。システムの細かい設置と追い込みはこれからじっくり時間をかけて始めるが、まず手始めにワインボトル棚を檜材で作って、殺風景なドライエリアに面した二重サッシの間に収め窓辺を飾ってみた。この開口部はいずれ大型スクリーンで覆われてしまう運命にある。



The renovation of my listening room is complete. As obtained, it suffered from serious standing waves and seemed difficult to enjoy the environment. It took about 2 months to rebuild the walls and the ceiling with sufficient absorption and it turned out to be a nicely responsive room with rather quiet NC25 noise floor. I will take sufficient time to set up and tune the system from here, but first of all I made wine-bottle shelves with cypress wood to fit in the double-sash window opening to the desolate dry area in order to add some colors to the view. This window will be eventually covered by a large video screen later.
