シャガールとルドン – Exhibition of Prints by Chagall and Redon

鎌倉の県立近代美術館でシャガールとルドンの版画展をやっていると知って、早速行ってみた。桜が散りかけていた頃だ。僕はルドンの色彩の細やかさにはいつも魅せられてしまうのだが、展示されていたのは残念ながら墨版画のみ、その無念さを帳消しにしてくれたのがシャガールの『サーカス』と『ダフニスとクロエ』で、とても幸せな気分になれる色彩の散歩となった。これらが県立美術館所有というのにも驚いた。


It came to my attention that MOMA Kamakura showed Chagall and Redon and I went to see them. I am always melted with the fine colors of Redon, but unfortunately the pieces shown were black prints only. To make up for the regret positively, the complete sets of “Le Cirque” and “Daphnis et Chloé” by Chagall were the attractive elements of a happy and colorful promenade. I was also surprised to learn that they belonged to this museum.
