Cocooning myself in mountain for these 4-day holidays. In the bookstore on the way, I saw Haruki Murakami’s new translation, so I brought it with me. I read it at my leisure. As I mentioned before, I am not a good reader essentially, and have never read originals by Truman Capote. I loved Henry Mancini’s music, but Brake Edward’s movie was not really digestible for a mid-school boy. As for Mr. Murakami, he says he was overwhelmingly impressed by Capote’s style of English writing already in his high-school days.
It was a clear day today. The snow was dazzling before disappearing. Mt. Shirane was equally dazzling far beyond.
