Summer in Izu Peninsula -
My family went to Izu in the weekend. We stayed in a small hotel in Okawa which was comfortable. We went to the closest beach in Atagawa instead of stony sea shore in Okawa. For lunch we drove to Izu-Kogen and chose a restaurant called Kurokichi. A very nice interior with huge, natural wooden tables in simple decoration. Tempura over rice or mackerel and squid over rice were both excellent. Across the street was Suguyama of “guri” tea where we had quite good soft-cream with guri-tea powder topping.
