BeoCom 1401 that has been long in the storage is now back in my living room. The reason is because the current phone BeoCom 6000 had intermittent errors recently, and I guess it is caused by the battery about to die. This battery is difficult to obtain practically. The truly good thing with the plain analog phone is that it works under whatever conditions without the need for the power. The preceding BeoCom 1400 was introduced in 1992, designed by Martin Iseli, and replaced by BeoCom 1401 in 1996. The body colors vary depending on the period sold. Even today its form is distinguished as if the essence of modern design.
