We hear some amazements from overseas about cool behavior of Japanese in general in the middle of the earthquake. Here is another profile that might be interesting. I visited 3 different super-markets in town to find various items such as mineral water, bread, noodles, toilet papers, batteries, and etc. were completely sold out. In people’s mind is a definite disaster that they want to prepare for.
Even more interestingly, bicycles were all sold out (to go home) in many shops in downtown Tokyo the night of earthquake.
