Deuter goes back to Wiggle – ドイターの返品

Deuter backpack that I bought for trekking about a year ago was quite satisfying. This time I ordered from Wiggle a Deuter Racer EXP Air, the model for bicycle riding. As received, it looked promising with the right size and the usual ventilation mechanism. Its back is rounded, so it may not be suited for normal uses in town but it should fit well on the ride. There were two metal arched beams running vertically, and I found one of them was in a wrong angle. Examining it, the eyelet piece was missing and the beam was not fixed thus freely moved. I wrote a message to Wiggle immediately and arranged the product return. Using polystyrene boards and corrugated paper, I made a box to fit this rucksack within the size for small packet. Wiggle covering the return shipping, I am curious to see how soon I get the replacement.


一年くらい前にトレッキング用にドイターのバックパックを買って満足だったので、今回は自転車ツアーに使えるRacer EXP Airというモデルが国内定価は1万円近いのだが、Wiggleで安く手に入ることに目をつけて発注した。届いた商品はサイズもちょうど良く、ドイターの特長である背中の換気メカもしっかり確保され、いい買い物ができたと思った。背中が丸まっているこのモデルは普通に町歩きではフィットしないが、自転車こぎモードになるとピッタリはまる 形状で、金属板のバーが2本縦に弧を描くように走っている。その一本の角度がおかしいのに気付いて、細かくチェックしていくと、ハトメがなくなっていて、その端が勝手に動いてしまう。危険でもあるので即Wiggleにメールを送り返品の準備をする。手元にあったスチロール板と段ボールで小型包装物に収まる大きさの箱を作ってリュックをピッタリに収める。これなら先方が返送料を負担する範囲内になる。さて新品交換に何日くらいかかるだろう？
