How Are Cherries This Year? -今年の桜

今年の桜はなぜか美しく見えない。見頃の時期に寒くて鮮やかさとは縁遠い空模様だと思っていたら今日はもう散り始めて、まるで桜たちが「今年はさっさと店仕舞いしようぜ」とでも言い合っているみたいだ。大泉学園駅に近い本間邸の桜については2年前の春にもブログに書いたが、今日久しぶりに訪れてみると、古い敷地跡には障害者と子ども家庭の生活支援センターが建っていた。桜の枝も少し整理されたように見える。



I cannot tell why but this year the cherry trees do not look so beautiful as they used to. The blossoms at their peak were greeted by the cold weather under colorless cloud, and now they are already falling. It appears as if they are mumbling “we are all done this year, let’s quit!”
Today, I went to see Sakura of Honma Mansion about which I wrote two years ago, and I found they had built a local support center in this place. Some branches were also gone.
