Back home to Hiroshima for the reunion of broadcasting club of my high school after long years of absence. The gathering was near the Peace Memorial Park and I walked by the Atomic-Bomb Dome.
The party was larger than expected, and I was excited to meet with the people from 70 years old to 19 and have the conversation with old friends.
The town of Hiroshima was rather deserted for the weekend, which appeared to hint the local recession. I walked around the places where I grew up to have found no memorable signs. Starbucks was on the land where my parent used to have a small business a half century ago.
