Toy Stories are remade in 3D and now being released. Because they are animation movies and as I assumed the best color performance among three different 3D system options would be Dolby 3D, I went to Humax Cinemas in Yokosuka. No other people were in the theater when I got in first thing in the morning, so I took the picture of the theater.
As for 3D, there were many scenes that could be appealed with its dimensional aspect, but none was striking to me and rather appeared as relatively normal and steady landscapes. Details of images were not as outstanding as those in “Chicken Little” or “Cars”. It was probably because the original data belonged in the older generation than other productions.
In this show, the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were packaged, and one major achievement of mine this time was the fact-finding that a couple of 3D movies in series could be watched for 3 hours without any particular fatigues.
To conclude, I would rate 3 and 1/2 stars.
