Peak of the Summer - 盛夏

朝5時、既に日差しの強さはこの夏最高の暑さになりそうな気配だ。こんな日は蕎麦に限る。材木座の梵蔵で鬼おろしでもいただくか・・・。近くの九品寺に立ち寄ると、境内は小さいながら風情のあるお寺だ。社務所の壁沿いにいくつかの花々が慎ましく咲いていた。


Five in the morning, and the sunbeam already appears to predict the hottest day in this summer. A light lunch of soba noodels would be nice in such a day, popped up in my mind, so I went to Bonzo, the next door to Zaimokuza Post Office. On the way is Kuhonji Temple with small but neat precincts. There were modest flowers blooming along the house walls in the premise.
