Bayonne - バイヨンヌ

ここは実のところ余り目的のない通過点としての滞在だ。選んだホテルのHameauは駅から橋に向かって歩くとその右手袂にあって、すぐ近くだし街に行くのも便利だ。そして★三つの宿なので、昨日の30ユーロもしない巡礼宿とは桁違いに快適に感じる。ネットも問題ない。街に出て少し散策してみたが、バイヨンヌの生ハムがあちこちで眼につくということもないようだ。小バイヨンヌのバスク博物館とボナ美術館を一応覗いてみた。博物館の方はバスク文化の基礎知識として見ておく意義はあるだろう。ボナは僕は興味がないが、バイヨンヌの美術館はここというので行ってみた。ルーベンスが少し揃っていたので、ルーベンス・ファンは行っても良い。あとアングルのコレクションも若干あった。

I stayed in this city without a firm idea of purposes except transit. Hotel Hameau was conveniently close from the train station just by the bridge. It was also close to downtown. Compared to yesterday's hotel of pilgrimage in Lourdes for less than 30 Euros, this three-star hotel was like an amazement. No troubles in the wi-fi network, either.
I paid visits to two museums. Basque Museum was valuable for gaining basic understanding of Basque cultures. I am not so interested in Bonnat, but it was the art museum in Bayonne. It may appeal to Rubens fans as there was some collection. There were also a few paintings of Ingre.
