パリのサンポールからサンポール・ド・ヴァンスに移動した。オルリーでフライトが30分ほど遅れ、正午にニース空港のターミナル2に着いた。インフォメーションでサンポール行きのバスを尋ねると、右の方に出ればバスターミナルがあると言う。しかしサンポール行きが見当たらないので、バスターミナルのインフォメーションでもう一度聞いてみる。すると、Navette（シャトルバス）に乗ってターミナル1に行き、そこのバスターミナルで400番のバスに乗るように説明された。ターミナル1に移動してバスターミナルの窓口で再度出発場所を尋ねると、向いの道路に進むと反対側に回るトンネルがあるのでそれをくぐって左の階段を上がるとバス停があると言う。ここまで3ステップ経て漸く正解にたどり着いた。バス停にはすでに数名がバスを待っていたが、400番については運行案内も時刻表もない。しかも路線図は行き先とは逆のニース方面の 地図が貼られている始末で、旅行者にとっては何とも不親切な空港という印象だった。実際に400番のバスが来たのは1時間待った1時20分で、それまでに数名が諦めてバス停を去って行った。でも運賃はたったの1ユーロで、サンポールには25分ほどで着いた。
We arrived at Nice airport Terminal 2 at noon. We asked at the arrival information about the bus for St. Paul, and the lady told us that the bus terminal was further right. We could not find the platform for St.Paul, so checked again at the bus ticketting, and the staff behind the window told us to take the navette for Terminal 1 and take #400 bus there at Gare Routière bus terminal. So we followed the instructions and checked with the staff again at bus ticketing of Terminal 1. This time, the instruction was to go out of the terminal heading the street and go through the tunnel under the street and take upstairs on the left. It took three different steps to reach the correct answer. There were several people at the bus stop waiting already, but no relevant indication of service or timetable for #400 there. The route map on the wall was for the opposite direction! In my experience, Nice Airport did not look very friendly to visitors. We actually managed to take #400 bus at 13:20 after 1hour of waiting, but a few travelers had given up and left the stop by then. It was 25-minute ride for only 1 Euro.
